EPM ADJUDGED TO THE COLOMBIAN CONSORTIUM MISPE THE BUILDING OF ITUANGO´S MOST IMPORTANT ROAD.
Hydropower Mega-project Ituango, will need a long road located between the village of Puerto Valdivia, in the town of Valdivia, and the dam site, in the grounds of the municipalities of Briceño and Ituango, this was adjudged to Mispe Consortium.
The road will stretch 37 kilometers and will feature nine tunnels and 65 bridges. Because of its length and character of new road spoolable for the region, this work will become a vital contribution to the future development of the mobility system in the North and the lower Cauca valley.
The Consortium consists of Ituango MISPE firms Mincivil S. A., S. Estyma A. and SP Ingenieros S.A.S., all Colombian companies. The contract was awarded in the amount of 401,6 billion COP and will be implemented within three years.
The contracting process was opened on November 25, 2011. On February 28, 2012 received four proposals from three consortia and joint venture, engineering firms from Colombia and Brazil.
Before the adjudication Environmental Licensing Authority-ANLA-approve the modification of the environmental license for the project proposal for the construction of the road, which was obtained endorsement last December.
